Whole Horse Skin Tea Bag Brewing Kit

Skin Mix tea bags - brewing instructions

What you will need


  • Pot with a lid - glass, stainless steel, or enamel ware
  • Storage container(s) with lid - preferably glass
  • 1 gallon of water
  • 1 skin mix tea bag
  • Apple cider vinegar or brandy- optional


In a glass or stainless steel pot (never use aluminum or non-stick Teflon type cookware when preparing herbs). Bring 1 gallon (16 cups) cups of water to a boil.


Add tea bag, cover pot with a lid and reduce to a very gentle, low simmer

Simmer on low for 45 minutes - your liquid will be a dark brown, amber color.

Remove from heat and allow to cool and store in a clean sterilized container.

Optional – add one tablespoon apple cider vinegar or brandy as a preservative.

Infusion may be stored in the refrigerator for three weeks or frozen in smaller containers and thawed as needed. Wipe on or spray twice per day to affected area.
