UPDATE ON TUCKER ON OCT. 13, 2025
"Tucker was bought at auction with a guarantee. There were no signs of anything wrong with him. In 3 weeks his eye flared up with blood and he was in a lot of pain. We went to Cornell where he was diagnosed with recurrent uveitis. He was difficult to treat as he was in so much pain and he acted out because of it. We couldn’t get the flare ups to stop. There were multiple trips to Cornell as he flared up every few months. The ophthalmologist said there was definitely previous damage in the one eye, but he even flared in his “good” eye. He had full panels of bloodwork done twice, tested for Lyme and lepto twice, multiple meds, spl in his eye for 2 1/2 weeks. We did the gentamicin injection in the one eye which left him with a large cataract and blindness and he still flared up. I had a horse with pain over and over, spent a lot of money on vet visits and treatments and nothing was working. I joined blind horse groups, uveitis horse groups, and did tons of research. I came across a uveitis supplement called Whole Horse Herbs. I was running out of things to try so I was willing to do anything to help him. I put him on this supplement and he has not had a flare up in a long time. In January it will be 2 years without any flare ups. Now that he is no longer in pain he is one happy horse living his best life. I always recommend this supplement to anyone who is struggling with their horse with uveitis. It’s a horrible disease and you feel so helpless seeing your horse in pain."
